oh poor Sam. Gene just gets so angry. He's sick Gene he's sick. Hopefully the missus will sort him out. Things are not looking good for our sammy. I hope he doesn't wind up back in hospital!

I don't know if the hospital is in store for Sam but he and Gene do need to work through their issues.

God, I'm screaming "NOOOO" at the screen and biting my fingernails. Don't do it Sam! I hope Merrick has helped Gene to see he needs to keep calm, but as he's enjoying winding him up in the first place that doesn't seem likely. Maybe a bit of proper policing will help Sam to concentrate on what's important. The tension just doesn't let up!

Oh Mrs Hunt, you lifesaver! I was so, so worried for Sam then. He's really not improved all that much if he's still having trouble keeping away from the Valium. Merrick is a bastard for keeping the pills in his coat pocket...I bet he was going to slip them into Sam's tea or something...

Oh, Gene. He's doing his best, he really is. He's given Sam his time, his care, his house, hell even his bed - and Sam is still not getting any better. Neither of them can help it though. Sam's always been messed up and Gene isn't used to giving this much all the time. Hopefully Sam will get back on his own two feet eventually and will repay Gene in his own way.

Am still absolutely loving this fic. And kudos to you for getting the chapters up so quickly! :D

I have been trying to stretch Gene to his emotional limits with Sam, I just wonder how far I can go before Gene really would quit.

I love the tension here! This was an amazing chapter! The future freakout was spiff! The way that Merrick and Gene are yelling at each other but all that's coming out is the doctor's voices. And the 'will he/won't he?' with the Valium had me thinking, 'don't do it Sam' :( And then, you follow up with an evil cliffhanger! Post soon (please).
