John Simm interview

Aug 05, 2007 14:47

Today's Sunday Telegraph colour supplement has a feature on John Simm. NB it's three pages in all.

Three not-very-good and large photos from the magazine ( added behind the cut )

I'm glad he didn't stay in Hollywood.

Thank you so much :) It was a great interview and I wouldn't have seen it if you hadn't posted the link.

I clicked on one of the links to other articles on him and came across him saying: "...I thought it would be more interesting if Sam Tyler wasn't a particularly nice guy, but once you put him in the '70s you are on his side because he's in a nightmare." Hmmm, obviously hasn't read some of the fanfic in this comm!!

Good stuff, cheers.

Normally I think The Coral are a bag of twingy twangy bollocks, but if John Simm likes them, then.. surely.. Yeah The Coral are dead good actually. Perhaps I shall catch them in concert.

Thanks for posting this - I saw the online version last night, but this is much nicer. In fact if I'd seen this earlier, I would have rushed out to buy the paper, because I didn't know he was on the cover.

I love the on-the-bed shot. Do you think he realised how his hands and his shirt-tails combine to frame his

Lovely interview.

I liked the comment about how they didn't want LoM to be all "wheyhey time travel!" because one of the things I love about it is that Sam doesn't just settle into 1973 right off the bat. There are too many time travel type shows/movies where characters are far too accepting and enjoying of the time travel and culture shocks. The fact that wasn't in LoM was a big part of what made it so refreshing.
