Canon and Fanon list
As a fic writer, I like to make my fic as accurate as possible with regard to Canon. So far, as far as I'm aware, there isn't a 'master list' of canon anywhere for LoM.
So I'm hoping this will become one!
Basically, if people can read this post and add comments with CANON that hasn't been mentioned, then I'll update this post accordingly. I just want the real facts - the boring bits, the bits we all sometimes need in fic but probably have to look up most times. I want call signs, full names and ranks, types of weaponry used, cars driven - that sort of thing. And if you see something that is wrong then please yell (if you can back up anything with episode number, that would be great, in case we have contradictory stuff etc. would hate to have any fen falling out over something so silly.)
The idea being that this will then be tagged and 'memoried' (if none of the great and the good of the comm mind!) and act as a resource list for everyone. Maybe it could even be linked to from elsewhere/from the userinfo page?

Drives a bronze Ford Cortina 2000E (we think!) with a black vinyl roof, registration KJM 212K. Call sign for the car is Romeo Foxtrot.
Married.
Has/had one brother - disappeared 10 years ago, was addicted to speed. Both boys were hit by their father.

Father is Vic Tyler, missing, presumed deceased (at least by Sam - see his conversation with Colin Clay's son in episode 5)
Took a gap year during which he worked in a DIY store.
Ray Carling
Detective Sergeant, demoted to Detective Constable from episode 7, season 1 until Episode 1, season 2, when he's re-promoted to DS.
Call sign is 867
Drives a greeny blue Morris Marina Estate car(I think) in S1 (It's blown up in S2, presumably we're not meant to notice that it was 'his' car in S1)

Has blue eyes
Phylis Dobbs
Sergeant. Often works the front desk/radio. Goes to The Railway Arms with lots of CID.
Chris Skelton
Dectective Constable. Can drive, but doesn't seem to own a car.
Has one green eye, one blue

Constable, Season 1, Detective Constable Season 2 from the end of episode one.
Has a B.A. in psychology
Worked as a barmaid before joining the force
Trained in first aid, not trained in firearms
