That is a great line. Your Gene is so effortlessly believable. I'd prefer Sam didn't simper, that really doesn't sit right with me, but apart from that he's great too.

Gene's unfortunatly managed to worm his way inside my head which means when I write him, I can actually hear Phil Glenister reciting the lines...lil worrying, makes for good fic though XD

I get that too! Not automatically, but he's there, and it has made me go back and change lines when I've heard how he would really say them. I find Sam much more difficult, because when you go back to the episodes he does have this long-winded and precise way of speaking that just doesn't look right on the page. He doesn't speak in my head.

I'm finally getting towards the end of something quite long, which is why I haven't posted anything for ages.

You write DW don't you? Where would I post a very short gen piece out of Last of the TimeLords? It's not high-falutin' intellectual Whovian stuff, just a small take on the Master's death. (Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask, I didn't know where to start).

Yea I do, or I did before 'Life on Mars' ate my brain. tennant_love as long as Ten appears in it somewhere. Or perhaps your best bet would be doctorwho for all Gen DW fics and snippets and odds and sods.

It's always been like that for me with any character I invest in. Gene and Sam are the latest. I struggle greatly with Ray but less so with Christoff ;)

Sammy speaks to me but he is indeed long winded and full of himself which makes it hard to discern between what he would say and what I think he'd say...

Anyway, hope that helped with the comm's and goodluck with the posting. Can't wait to read the long one you've been working on.
