When Tyler went into the deeper coma I thought, "Where will Sam go now? I bet they end up in the same body." I was SO pleased with myself. :p

I was very distraught by the end, though. I wanted the doctors to save Sam Williams and for Sam to decide to adopt Tyler's 2006 life as better than none, with the connection between him and Tyler finally broken. No more bad dreams. But... I require happy endings more than some. xp

This was such a good idea and I suspect you may have hit on some ideas that the screen writers themselves had. Maybe we would have seen some of this if there had been a 3rd series. It's just the type of scenario I like to explore... so much so that I was annoyed with myself for not writing this before you got to it. lol Good job with this. Very devastating, but very well done.

Aaahhh thank you so so much for commenting!! <3333333333333

Hahah well done on calling it! :D

Nawwww I'm sorry to hear that - though not much. XD I know what you mean with happy endings though, I normally really really need them too... Only when I write the fic myself, I don't seem to have problems to... not write a happy ending. Hah. > v> XD

Thank you so much though, I'm really glad you enjoyed this fic. ♥ And yeahh I as well think that a series 3 - or just a few more eps, really - would have helped with all those kind of cut-off plot strands... It's really frustrating how much the writers rushed the ending. XD Which is precisely why I don't like Sam Williams... which I suppose translated into this fic hahah. Sorry mate.

Here's an idea that might make you dislike him less.

Suppose Sam Williams was just Sam's mind spiraling out of control near the end. You know how it is when you've been dreaming a while, and suddenly you start to suspect that you're dreaming? Your subconscious desperately scrambles to convince you that you're actually awake. This could have been Sam's desperate scramble. But when he chose 1973 for good, he was lucid-dreaming for a little while. He could choose the reality that Sam Tyler from Hyde never was Sam Williams. There would still be a couple of little loose ends, but in the world he's set up for himself from this point on, they wouldn't matter. Thoughts?

... actually, that is a very interesting approach! I've not thought about it this way yet, and it does make quite a lot of sense. The only problem I have with it is that personally, I regard 1973 to... not be Sam's coma dream. Aka everything in it, most of all the people, are real, and it's not something he thought up. Soooo.... yeah. XD

But again, that is a really really good way of looking at it, I'd love you see explore this idea more in fic! :D
