Been scribbling this in what little spare time I have during finals week.
So I had this idea for a thing in the ‘37 fic I’m working on occasionally… Basically, Sam hangs out with Kid!Gene sometimes while he’s in 1937, and to try and brighten up his childhood some, he decides to get him a nice book (The Hobbit was released in '37, so I picked that one) and read it to him.
Only the original release had some very distinct differences from the later publications. (See here: (x))
So yeah, I was just playing around with that~<333
