Oh, I fear for Gene! Well, I already know what's going to happen to him so yes, of course I do!

Love the morning atmosphere here, Gene messing around in the kitchen - they are so at ease with each other, with being around each other.

As much as that last scene seems quite spontaneous, you see how they care for each other in the scenes before so it's not just a quick morning shag but an expression of their love and also their fears - they know Gene will be in a dangerous situation soon and just have to seize the day(s) now. And nights. And mornings... :D

Aghhhhhhhhhhh! This is such a wonderful little snippet of domesticity - breakfast in the morning, fresh from bed... the banter, and Sam's sudden declaration of worry for Gene. It's lovely. And while it's wonderful and fuzzy, we're aware of what happens to Gene later, so it's kind of like AAAAGH at the same time XD

I really can't wait for the next part! It's brilliant! <3

I love that Gene 'coats' his eggs with salt. LOL...yeah, the smallest things stand out to me. *imagining* And he's barefoot at the stove? *wails* Ohhhh...don't hurt him!!!! (I know, I say this but I love Gene!whump. Can't ever please me.) And why did this stop here??? I need moremoremore! Fabulous job, and I'm hanging on the edge already.

As is Sam's worrying for Gene's safety, and Gene's trademark confidence. I like how that silent hug effectively soothes most of the fear and apprehension, at least for a little while.
