Thank you, Loz! I have to admit I had problems coming up with a little something for you, I'm not a person who can write on command. But then my brain came up with that image of Sam and Gene - I might have to expand on that. ;-) And as I wanted to make something special of it, I thought of that little twist.

Well, I don't know if you've read any of my fics (yet) but I thought about making this little story a part of something bigger, a kind of additional chapter/second epilogue. But I then kind of decided against it as it was just for you and should be something original, not just a "cheap" addition to something I've already written earlier. But you could link those stories if you wanted (although they'd not fit perfectly as I decided against the retcon)...

Well, we'll see what I'll come up with. At the moment, I'm working on another fic which is a little problematic so I won't promise anything. But you'd certainly deserve more!

Thanks for reading. As I said above, I didn't want to make this the standard "Sam/Gene in 1973" situation and this is what I came up with. Not very original but well, it worked. :-)

I usually don't mind Sam staying in/returning to 1973 but sometimes it's nice to see that Gene's as real as they get, isn't it?
