Just de-lurking after to all this time to mention that I've discovered an eBay trader who sells pdf scans of British trade catalogues. A lot of the dealer's stuff is from the 1970s, and would be fairly useful for anyone needing to research the nuts n' bolts - with prices! - of everyday life

*peruses* Wow, these are amazing. Look at this catalogue from 1973, for example... especially the page with the party dresses (below). Some of those women look like they walked right out of the Twillings' party in 2x04! *g*

Oh yes. 'B' and 'C' are definitely swingers, and I have my suspicions about 'A' and 'D' as well. *g*

(Either that, or it's the 1973 Annual Police Dance. 'A' is t' Missus and 'C' is Litton's wife. Sam is hiding out the back trying to avoid them... ;-)
