Wanna know what Sam's 1973 shirt and jacket did after he died/disappeared/whatever-ed? They took a good long holiday in a wardrobe and then took on a new job as Thom Yorke's stage outfit in 1995. - Incidentally, a very "Sam" song, that. "I wish it was the sixties, I wish we could be happy"... wrong decade, right sentiment.
I maintain that the entire album this song's from is kind of about Sam, actually. It's full of songs about living in dream worlds, self-deception, self-loathing, and grave injuries. Plus, it has a pic of a comatose-looking CPR dummy on the cover. :D
