DOUBLE DRABBLE: Under the Mistletoe (and a ditty)

Title: Under the Mistletoe

Summary: It's the CID Christmas party, and Chris is hoping to catch a kiss with Annie under the mistletoe. The warm glow on his cheeks comes from something quite unexpected. And he hums a ditty at the end.
Chris wakes up on the floor in the bullpen. Looking at his watch, he sees it's half one. He thinks about the mistletoe that's hanging in the Guv's office. He imagines standing there with Annie, lowering his lips to hers. He thinks about telling her the truth: he's been waiting for his chance to kiss her. As long as he stays in here, it'll have to be next year.
Opening the door, he sees Sam through the gap, wearing the Rudolph nose the Guv had insisted he put on. Gene is, of course, Santa Claus. Without knowing why, Chris doesn't make known he's there. Sam licks his lips, looking up at Gene. Their lips meet. Sam grabs hold of Gene then moves his hands across the Santa suit, sliding them inside.
“Fuck,” Gene whispers.
Chris feels heat in his face, but he's incapable of moving. A voice comes from the hallway. “Where are you, you wanker?” Blimey, it's Ray. Chris pulls the door to, and waits. His mind racing, he says, “There's a bottle waiting in Lost and Found. Let's get some drinks in.” As they walk away, Chris pats his elf hat and hums a tune.
(Chris's tune goes something like this:
I saw the Boss snogging Santa Claus
Underneath the mistletoe tonight.
They didn't see me creep
From the bullpen to have a peek;
They thought I was passed out
On the floor fast asleep.
Then, I saw the Boss grope Santa Claus
Underneath his Santa suit so red.
Blimey, what a disaster it would've been,
If Ray had just walked in and seen
The Boss snogging Santa Claus!)
