DRABBLE: Superhero chamekke October 21 2011, 08:02:10 UTC
By day he's a senior police officer. He cultivates the aura of a compromised bureaucrat, a man infinitely more devoted to his career path than to justice.

In his wildest dreams, he never expected his disguise to be so convincing.

When darkness falls, he takes out the cape, the leggings, and strokes them reverently. Then he runs up to the roof, dons his costume like a knight strapping on his armour, and leaps into the night's embrace.

His mission: to protect the prozzies, the drunks, the stray dogs, the little old men.

It's a bird! It's a plane!

It's... Superintendent.

Surely you're not suggesting that this is implausible...

Drabble: Forensic Countermeasures (Slasher) Character Death samueljames October 21 2011, 17:38:00 UTC
Initially Sam Tyler posed a threat, that wouldn't do at all. Killing was such a rush but equally pleasant was the thrill when called to one of his dump sites.

He'd helpfully escorted a drunk Sam home one night, hand curled around the knife in his pocket but realised that Sam's teaching might help him evade capture. Knowledge was power so Sam survived with only a hangover.

He varied his methods but could never forego the knife completely. When police, Sam really, began linking a string of deaths he put himself firmly on Chris' radar. Sam's murder was never solved.

As a fan of the Tyler/Williams quandary, I have to say I really like this. :)

What exactly is a five minute sketch...?

Hi there! :) It's a small piece of fanart which is completed within roundabout five minutes. We're not massively strict with the time limit, it's just so that artists are not spending too much more time than writers would on their short fics.

Drabble: Never Was a Story of Such Woe (Tragedy) thesmallhobbit October 21 2011, 19:49:08 UTC
The lifeless form of Sam Tyler lay at the bottom of the stairs. Gene Hunt ignored the radio and Phyllis yelling “Listen to me, Guv” and rushed towards him. With a yell of pain and anger he took his gun and without flinching shot himself.

The sound of the shot caused Sam to open his eyes. Seeing his lover lying dead he reached over and took the gun. “I cannot be without you,” he said as he squeezed the trigger.

Moments later Ray and Annie charged in. “It worked Boss. They fell for your plan.”

No answer save dripping blood.

Ow. My heart ;_; You can't get much more iconically tragic than Romeo and Juliet.

Drabble: The Man from Hyde (Western) debl_ns October 22 2011, 03:00:31 UTC
The newcomer entered the gaol, guns slapping his thighs. He was covered with dust from his ride.

A big man was leaning on a door frame, smoking a cigar.

“Who the hell are you?” the newcomer demanded. “This is my office!”

Eyes narrowing, the man spat out his cigar. He seized him by the collar, sending him crashing into the office.

“They reckon you got thrown from your horse. I figure that excuses you for talking out of your saddle--once. You work for me, Gene Hunt. Your Sheriff. Objections, Deputy?”

Sam swallowed and shook his head.

Thanks! ♥ I knew immediately I wanted to do a Western (I loved Bonanza and The Big Valley), and it felt right to combine the two. I'm glad you liked it!
