Gravity is a powerful force, Sam knew. It made everyone stick to the surface of the planet Earth and it turned the spheres in the sky.

He once made the joke to Gene that the DCI’s mass was so great he could make a satellite orbit around him. He neither understood nor appreciated it.

Truth was, people did gravitate towards DCI Hunt, he just attracted people, whether they wanted to or not. Sam envied him for that.

Apparently a black hole’s mass is so great, time itself goes wonky around it. And maybe, that was truth as well, Sam thought.

Very much so! I'm not sure if I got the meaning across right, but who knows, there might be another reason for Gene being the cause of Sam being there besides the 'tumour' idea from Morgan =P
