Well Gene, or whomever has him, is clearly trying to let everyone know he is still alive...but WHY?? OH WHY?????

*general gnashing and wailing*

I loved this:
“Hope you know what you’re getting us into,” Ray warned.
“No. Not really,” Chris sighed.
Because, somehow, those words just made my whole world shudder. Something BIG is going one, and they have NO CLUE. Poor Ray! (which is NOT something I thought I would ever say!!!)

This is just riveting. The tying in of Gene's case with Sam's condition...so confusing, and yet obviously so intertwined!!!

Can't wait for more!

Muahahaha. I'll never tell!

Er, well, I will. Just when it's, you know, time.

The plot should be heating up soon, and there is more Gene and Sam stuff on the way.

(Is GOAH carrying into next year? Or do we all have to be nice to the Gene Genie once 2009 hits?)

I'm really, really curious about what's happening to Gene!

Also, I've got to say that I loved Chris's little speech to the psychiatrist. He may be a bit dim at times, but when he shines, he shines!

I know you are. That's why I'm not going to tell you. :)
(You bring the evil on yourself, you know.)

Thank you!

One thing about your fics, even when nothing happens, something happens. When there's no action, you plant little clues that will lead to action. SOmething to aspire to. :)

Oh, thank you! To me, I always find these chapters a little boring because nothing really happen, but they're necessary to move the story forward.

BORING??!! No way was this boring---I was glad to see Chris coming up with a reason for taking Sam that Dr. Wynton had to accept as valid, but will she allow them to do it? And I was all on the edge waiting to hear what Vera had to say about the phone call. This chapter had quite a bit of suspense IMO.

Good - they have the day pass arranged. Loved how Chris put it all out there for the psychiatrist too. He certainly wasn't going to take no for an answer. Itching to find out why Gene would call and not say anything to his wife. This chapter really has me on the edge of my chair.

Chris is so sweet and loyal. After seeing what condition Sam was in, I couldn't imagine that he wouldn't do everything he could to get him out of there.

Thank you!

Thank you!

There is going to be a lot of Chris, Ray, Annie, and Sam interaction coming up.

And I agree. Chris definitely didn't get enough screen time!
