Love your Litton, you've got the pretentious and theatrical manner (i.e. the french greetings and the dramatic (but sarcastic) sighing and feigning sadness) down perfect.

"Everyone leaves in the end." Poor disillusioned Chris, for some reason I can't shake the feeling his decision has more to do with the loss of the mentor he had in Sam than the loss of Gene (which may have been the straw to break the camel's back).

And I loved Annie sniping about "gut instinct" rather than "feminine intuition" ;)

I always wished Litton would pop up in series 2. He was such a great foe for Gene.

more to do with the loss of the mentor he had in Sam
You would be right, and someone is going to point that out to Ray.

Thank you!

I do love Ray getting a bit of his own back by failing to mention certain facts to Litton. Heh.

Thank you!

(I'm sure Litton will appreciate Ray's help. :) )

I am really loving this from Ray's POV and you have Litton down cold. I can't stand the character but I bet the actor had a blast playing him.

Thank you! Characters like Litton are always the most fun to play. I only wish we'd gotten to see him in series 2.

Loved Annie's gut instinct comment. Your Ray is excellent. He's developing into a very likeable character, one who I really want to see succeed, not let the team fall apart. Here's hoping he loses the complacency. And I was half hoping expecting Gene to show up in his apartment. :)

Thank you! I'm trying to make Ray likeable while still keeping him in character with what we saw in canon. He doesn't make it easy.

Fantastic reading as always. Ray's indignation at Chris's announcement (that was a nice touch, by the way!) was really rather empowering. Looking forward to more!
