*is not bothered, justs hopes Gene didn't leave any evidence lying about*

This was amazing, dark but still amazing.

And when Gene jumped to the wrong conclusion was horrible *hugs Sam and Gene*

lovely work!

Thank you!

(I'm sure Gene cleaned up after himself...)

Wow! Amazing. You really had me wondering what was happening to Sam, why he was completely losing it. And yah, character death that didn't bother me at all, the way you played Morgan. Just hope Gene covered his tracks well enough. Sacrifice on both their parts though, for each other. Nicely done.

Thank you so much!

I didn't think this particular character death would bother many, but you never knew. It certainly didn't bother Gene. ;)

Ooh, that's good. (Funny, I was only thinking last night I hadn't seen anything from you for a while!)

Gene must love Sam so much to do something like that for him in cold blood, and I like the way you've left that understated. They have both given so much to protect each other, and they've both gone far too far, given too much, compromised their own integrity and safety far more than was necessary, for each other. Great story, thank you!

I meant to have this finished sooner, but unfortunately a nasty, little cold kept me from finishing.

I think Gene most often expresses his love for people through actions rather than words and this was the biggest show of love he could do for Sam at this point in time.

Thank you so much!

I'm such a terrible person, but I don't think I'm able to mind when you make such brilliance out of that.
I really liked the slow reveal of what was happening to Sam (even though I already knew), and how closed off what happened has made him.
It was horrible, in that oh, so good way, when Gene came to the wrong conclusion and walked away, but I absolutely loved it when Gene told Sam off for thinking he'd actually choose himself over his team, over Sam in particular. What he doesn't get is that Sam would never choose himself over Gene either.
Usually I don't like the thought of Gene as a murderer, but after this, I'm inclined to go with the others who have commented and say I hope he covered his tracks, and that Sam either wont make the connection or wont care.

Thanks for this, my own little fic machine. You're brilliant!

As long as you admit you're a terrible person, it's alright. (Now that's the last bunny I had from you. Don't give me anymore so that I can work on the new epic.)

See, I thought it was obvious what happened to Sam, but I guess it was obvious to me since I knew the ending (obviously.) I really didn't expect it to be this dark. I know you don't like murderer!Gene and I wasn't expecting him to off Morgan. It came as a surprise to me, but Gene felt it had to be done. (Does that make me sound like a schizophrenic?)

Anyway, I'm glad you liked it! Thank you!

Thank you so much!

(And Gene has learned a lot from Sammy about evidence. I'm sure he cleaned up well.)

I am also not a big fan of Gene-as-murderer, but this seemed liked the only ending for this fic.
