Title: The Five Most Memorable Cars Gene Has Driven (and Why They're Memorable) Author: dak Word Count: 906 words Rating: green cortina Warnings: mild angst A/N: For
awww, I really love each and every one of these. Who knew cars could say so much about a guy?
the "Like father, like son." almost broke me, as did #4
and with #5 as soon as I read the words Aston Martin I instantly thought "the cheeky bastard's nicked Sam's car" and I LOVE the fact Gene prefers it to even the Cortina and I agree Sam would definitely freak out to find it missing.
He risked two trips around the block, then tried to park it exactly as his father had - at an angle, halfway on the pavement. It's little touches like this that make the story so real. I can just see the Old Man leaving the car there, thinking he's parked it straight.
I thought no.3 was sad and then you hit me between the eyes with no.4. :( Fantastic writing.
No.5 - oh, Genie, you really do have a deathwish. Doesn't he realise that Sam will withold all sexual favours for a fortnight be more than a little narked? He's a right git, isn't he? Bless him *pets dvds fondly*
Thank you for writing these. I hope you had fun with the research ♥

3. absolutely tragic.
2. car + love=Love
1. He didn't get hit--awesome!
Gene's life through his cars--I bet he'd tell it the same way. This was lovely, as usual. :)

(Gene would probably add a more dramatic flair to his stories. Probably mention a few cardboard boxes and women with prams.)

I'm sure he'll think of a way to make it up to Sam. ;)
The research was fun. It would have been easier if I had Jeremy Clarkson's help.
Thank you!!
