I know this is a little late in arriving, but I have been ill lately. It must be my sick mind at work, but this did not strike me as the least bit dark or twisted. But then, I did used to deal with folks like this all the time, so I'm innured. Anyhow, much luv and thanks again, and the ending will post after the conclusion of Shadow Box posts. But it is written, and I think the ending will be worth the slight extended wait!

Aww, poor Ray!
This is actually the one of the only stories in which I have ever been able to feel sorry for him - I really don't like him. (Even though I know you're not supposed to and Dean Andrews has lovely eyes)
I'm really loving this. Sam is so cute when he's jealous.
Can't wait to see more. :)

You know, your reply actually made me very happy. It is the task of good fiction to make the reader feel for the players involved, and that you feel a bit of Ray's pain is gratifying. Me, I love Ray. I have walked men like that on leashes many a time. Boys like that "need a firm hand," as Gene says in the piece. The ending will clarify the dynamic between Ray and Gene, and reveal a lot about the characters in this scenario. So, I encourage you to be patient; the ending is worth it!
