Why is Point Pleasant on so late? I quite like the show, maybe more so than Roswell although it could just be that Point Pleasant is new and so I don't know what's going to happen. I looked for it on DVD yesterday but my search was in vain. It reminds me of being young again, and oh my Samuel Page" is HOT! That smile! *melts*
So during a trip down memory lane, I looked up this. The boom of teen domains, I haven't looked up the site in five or more years. I'll admit I'm surprised to find that the culture has disappeared entirely (the last news update is from 2003), and been replaced by livejournal, wordpress, and other community blogs. It's sad to see the sites that I used to frequent now hosting porn links (frostylips.com), dead (muted.com), and conformed (tarnish.net).
I was quite upset to be greeted by the graveyard of dead domains. It brought back memories, online as well as offline. The exlusivity and excitement that came with receiving a hosting offer from one of the domains of which you were in awe; the creativity and care with which I created and maintained my online journal; learning; discovering. The time I had to craft my layouts and writing -- it was a journal I was proud of, it was a real journal, with so much more substance than this.
I do miss it. But I guess we have to grow up some day.
