I got to see Lifehouse Sunday evening and it was amazing. They performed at approximately 8 p.m. at the Newport Music Hall in Columbus, Ohio.
Here is the set list. They played several new songs, so I'm not sure on the titles of all of them. But, my most favorite new song they played is called Broken. Very amazing.
The First Time
(New song)
The Sky Is Falling
Am I Ever Gonna Find Out
Quasimodo (With different, rock intro)
Somewhere In Between
Who We Are (New album title track)
Better Luck Next Time
Empty Space (Acoustic without band)
(New song)
Broken (new, AMAZING) (Thanks for the info, faded_faerie)
Hanging By A Moment
Storm (Without band)
You And Me
Spin
Jason was dressed in a messy looking black shirt with silver tie. His hair was very blonde...more blonde than usual, but I didn't see any makeup on him. Rick and Bryce both had on button-down henleys...Rick's was gray and Bryce's was black. Rick also looked thinner. His head (which I've always thought was big) seemed smaller. The same traveling guitarist performed with them. His hair was shorter and he wore a black button down shirt and vintage, retro gray pinstripe pants.
During the first few songs, Jason didn't act like himself. He seemed out of breath and he clutched his chest a few times. Once he got to "SIB," though, he seemed okay. He had many smiles for the audience and acted genuinely happy to be there with the Columbus, Ohio, fans.
I predict that the new album is going to reveal a harder rock style (maybe with some pop-ish sounding {ie. The First Time}, but still have amazing, meaningful lyrics. I also noticed that many of the new songs sounded similar...and reminded me of the Stanley Climbfall album.
Hope this helps all. They're visiting Columbus again in August...but I think they're OPENING :( for the Goo Goo Dolls. It'll be a small venue like the Newport...but I'm pretty sure I'll be attending.
If I find out any other LH tidbits, I'll be sure to let you all know. FYI: The First Time lyrics are posted on www.lifehousemusic.com
