Does it bother anybody else that while GWB is milking his time at the Olympics for all it's worth, Russia and Georgia are at war, gas prices are killing the middle class, and we're plummeting into a recession? I hope he took the past week as vacation, because he certainly didn't work. I love the Olympics -- watching 32-year-old Jason Lezak swim the fast 100 meters in history gave me goosebumps. So did watching 41-year-old Dara Torres blitz through her leg of the women's relay. And did anybody see the story of Oksana Aleksandrovna Chusovitina, the 33-year-old women gymnast from Germany? This is her fourth Olympics, and she's competing against girls half her age. She's doing it to repay the German people for helping her get the leukemia treatment her son needed. I love this stuff. I admit to having a slight liberal bias, but had McCain won the primaries eight years ago, I might have voted for him. That said, his current ad is terribly disappointing. Obama's ad is about hope and aspiration, McCain's ad is about more of the same. Terribly, terribly disappointing. I was hoping for more. The man is a true hero. Why is he taking the low road? As much as I enjoy being single, after 11 months of not kissing anybody, I kind of miss tonsil hockey. I also miss ice hockey, but that's a different story. For anybody having a case of "The Mondays" I offer this...
