Theme Songs

For years, my theme song has been "Take It Easy" by the Eagles. It was a reminder to a warrior indigo child to not always fight, and enjoy.

"The Authority Song" by John Mellancamp replaced "Take It Easy" in my Theme Song playlist when I needed a battle cry. But I went back to the Eagles after a while.

Then it was "Calling All Angels" by Train, when I went through a period of No-Thingness. Again, the Eagles retook the top spot after I realized the Train song wasn't really what I was looking for.

A couple months ago I got into "I Won't Back Down" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Another warrior yell for an Indigo child who had become rather complacent. It's still in the playlist, but time has come for a change.

So right now it's this one: Something More by Sugarland. Sure, it's a country song, but listen to it. The lyrics are exactly what I'm experiencing right now.

There's gotta be something more
Gotta be more than this
I need a little less hard time
I need a little more bliss
I'm gonna take my chances
Taking a chance I might
Find what I'm looking for
There's gotta be something more

Some believe in destiny, and some believe in fate
but I believe that happiness is something we create
You best believe that I'm not gonna wait
'Cause there's gotta be something more
