Title: 3 Letter Word Ch. 2  "A Memory With You"
Author: ME!
Raiting: idk, romance/angst
Pairing: GBOM baby!
Summary: They form a bond that can't break; even in the worst of times. This is a story of two butterfly lovers.

BTW: Chapter 3 is already written down. But I'll post it tomorrow maybe? I still have to wait for my sister to read it first, you know sorta beta it! But I won't make you all wait too long! ^^

Another audition was not guaranteed anytime soon. She only had a month before she had to go back to Berklee; time was running out. She wasn’t feeling the song that was playing; she couldn’t get her self together for at least one proper practice. She pushed stopped on the player, and took a deep breath.

Bom, You got this! Just relax. Bom, Hwaitting. She smiled again. It was the first time anybody cheered for her-well, maybe except for Seunghyun. But it felt different. She pushed play, and began to sing out.

“Strumming my pain with his fingers. Singing my life with his words. Killing me softly with his song. Killing me softly with his song. Telling my whole life with his words, killing me softly with his song.”

She sang with soulfulness she thought she had lost since returned to Korea,

“I heard he sang a good song, I heard he had a style. And so I came to see him, and listen for a while. And there he was, this young boy. A stranger in my eyes.”

Jiyong smiled mischievously as he sneaked into the practice room. He was really surprised; pleasantly surprised. So, it was Bom he thought. Bom practiced here before. She’s that voice. He quietly sat on the bench, and listened to her sing until she finished.

“Killing me softly with his song.”

She ended, smiling proudly to herself.

“So, that’s how you sound.” Jiyong clapped, grinning at her.

Bom spun quickly, mortified with embarrassment, “I didn’t hear you come-“

“That’s okay, I enjoyed listening to you, Bom.”

She tried to hide her burning-red face by quickly gathering her things.

“You’re leaving?” Jiyong couldn’t help but sound so disappointed. He wanted more time with her.

“All of you are coming down to practice right?” She didn’t stop to look at him; she ejected her CD.

“Oh right! I have something that belongs to you.” He took her Rihanna CD from his case.  “I actually heard you the day we met, but I didn’t know it was you ‘till today. You sang to Rihanna, right?” he held the CD out to her.

“You took it.” She said quietly, a little amused by the situation. She thought some heartless jerk stole it.
“Yeah, I wanted to give it to you myself; to see the face behind that incredible voice.” This time, he caught her eyes.

“Thanks…” She felt like she had to get out. BOM! Get a grip! Stop blushing, will you!? “Well, I guess-“

“The guys aren’t coming down. I’m actually supposed to be working on something.” He told her as he made his way to the piano.

Her eyes followed him across the room, “On what?”

“A song. It was supposed to be done a week ago, but I have no real lyrics to it yet. But I can play it for you…if you don’t go.” His dark eyes appealed to her, she chuckled as she glanced to the floor.

“Okay.” She put her bag down again. Jiyong smiled at his success, he looked rather confident but he didn’t know what she would have done. “What’s it called?” She asked as she stood in front of the piano, facing him.

“I don’t know yet!” He looked up at her with a wide smile; Bom couldn’t help but laugh.

“So what do you have?” She asked as she leaned over.

Jiyong slowly began to press the keys. He played softly; it was the only sound that could be heard in the room. Suddenly something within Bom switched. She softly began to hum along to what he played. Jiyong looked up when he heard her, he didn’t stop playing though. He smiled to himself as he continued to play. She hadn’t noticed until she felt someone gazing at her and she immediately stopped.

“I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be. I like it. I like your voice.” Jiyong tried so hard to choose his words carefully, he knew she was getting embarrassed and he didn’t want her to leave.

“Y-you don’t have to do that.” She muttered as she turned away from him.

“Do what?” he tilted his head, what did he say?

“Don’t be nice to me just because I’m friends with Seunghyun! Sorry for intruding here.” She grabbed her things.

Why was she so worked up? She didn’t even understand. He was complementing her, so why was she so upset? She didn’t know why, but her face felt hot and a sickening jealousy threatened to rise from her.

“You can’t take compliments so easily, huh?” Jiyong stood but stayed by the piano. “You weren’t intruding if I asked you to listen. I like your voice, so I didn’t mind you humming along to it. In fact, I think it does the song good!”

He spoke so sincerely that Bom felt bad for going off on him. He had a small smile now,

“And Seunghyun has nothing to do with how nice I am to someone. I wasn’t trying to be nice anyway, just honest.”

It seemed almost like an apology, now she felt worse. He didn’t have to apologize! Now she felt mad all over again, what did he know anyway! He’s already a trainee, he couldn’t understand her at all! He such a smooth talker anyway, right? He probably does this with every girl around!

“I have to go.” she opened the door, “Later.” Then closed it behind her.

Jiyong pouted as he sat back on the piano bench. “I wanted her to stay.” He said to himself as he pounded on some keys.

Today the gorgeous girl comes toward me…

*****

“Are you okay?”

Bom has been starring off into her cup of coffee. She looked up, startled by the sound of a voice.

“Yeah, I’m fine.” Bom replied, almost robotic.

Seunghyun wasn’t sure he could believe her. After what Jiyong told him, something was up. “Jiyong told me you bit his head off the other day.” He smiled to himself.

“He talked to you about me?” She questioned with a faraway look again.

“Yeah, he said you turned into some lion, roaring suddenly.” He laughed, Bom only lowered her eyes.

“Oh.” She felt bad for Jiyong, he didn’t even do anything wrong. Now that was how she would be remembered! ‘Don’t compliment her, whatever you do! She doesn’t like it!’ she could see it now!

Seunghyun stopped laughing, does she feel bad? “I’m joking, he didn’t say that. He said he was worried because you seem stressed out over some audition.”

“Some audition?” She spat out the words. Easy for all of them to say, she thought. She glared at Seunghyun.

“Yeah, some audition. Bom, you have to stay relaxed about it. Other wise you psyche yourself out!”

Bom frowned, her glare wasn’t working. She felt like she was eight years old again, and her dad was scolding her for something did wrong.

“Let’s go to the park!” Suddenly Seunghyung was standing, putting money down on the dining table.

“Huh?” wasn’t he scolding her three seconds ago? “I don’t feel like it.”

“C’mon! It’ll be good for you! Fresh air, freedom!” Seunghyun pleaded.

“I don’t want to!” She whined as Seunghyun forced her up on her feet.

“We can play that game we used to play when we were kids, remember?”

“Hide and Seek? We’re not eight anymore!” She laughed. This was such a silly idea! What has gotten into him?

“I don’t get free time like this anymore.” He dragged her out of the dinner, and towards his car, “And I want to PLAY!” He hollered, embarrassing Bom.

“Okay okay! Just be quiet now!” She reluctantly got into his car.

“Kekeke” ^O^ <<
*****

“Is that Jiyong?” Bom stepped out of the car.

“Huh, that’s weird.” Seunghyun shrugged, now standing behind her.

Bom watched as Jiyong pushed a young girl on the swings. The little girl shrieked with delight.

“Oppa! I wanna go higher!” the little girl screamed.

“Are you sure?” Jiyong responded, he pushed her again and she went up higher than before.

“Higher!”

Bom smiled to see such a sight. He was really good with kids, it was cute to watch him play.

“Ah, I just remembered! I have to be somewhere!”

“What?” Bom turned to Seunghyun, “What do you mean?”

Seunghyun quickly climbed back into his car. “I gotta go, but have fun!”

“Ehh?” is he serious? “Seunghyung, this was your idea! Who am I supposed to play Hide and Seek with?”

“Well…Jiyong is here.” He said simply and innocently.

Bom gasped, so that was his idea! “Seunghyun! Get of the car now! I order you!”

“Mm, sorry Bomi!” He started the engine and pulled out, “remember to have fun okay!” he drove away.

“Seunghyun, you jerk! This was all your idea!” Bom cried out.

Jiyong heard something going on behind him, he was surprised to see Bom, but she seemed stressed out about something-he wasn’t surprised. She stomped her feet as she yelled something out, he couldn’t help but smile.

“Are you alright?” He asked when he was closer to her.

“Huh?” she turned, startled. “Oh Jiyong. Yeah, I’m fine. What-what are you doing here?”

“Playing. I was waiting for Seunghyun but he never showed.” He shrugged.

Seunghyun is going to pay for this, she growled. “I see. Is that your little sister?” She looked past him to the little girl that was shrieking earlier.

“Oh, no. That’s Minji, she’s a trainee at YG too.” He turned to look at Minji too, who was scraping off dirt from the bottom of her shoe with a stick.

“Wha-but she’s so small!” Bom exclaimed; she was totally shocked.

“Yeah, but you’ll think twice when you see her dance. I’ll introduce you to her!” He smiled at her as he took her hand. He led her to the swings, and while it might be casual for him; inside Bom’s heart pounded. She stared at her own hand within his.

“Minji-ah, this is Bom. Bom, this is Minji, she’s cute huh?”

Bom was about to answer yes, but Minji spoke up first,

“Yeah, you’re right oppa! She is cute!” She smiled up at her unnie.

“Ah-t-thanks!” She was taken aback at how straightforward she was! She pulled her hand away, and waved at the little girl. “You are too!” does this mean…Jiyong thinks I’m cute too? She blushed inwardly.

“Thank you! Are you in YG? Oppa, told me you sing pretty!” She giggled, knowing Jiyong wouldn’t like that.

“Forgive her, she’s from an isolated town. She has no social etiquette!” He said quickly, hiding his own embarrassed face. “I know that you can’t take compliments well…” he snuck in.

Bom looked at him, was he trying to start something? She narrowed her eyes, “When it comes to cute little girls I get mushy.” She smiled at Minji.

“So does Oppa! Only that it’s when it comes to you that he gets mu-“

“Minji-ah! Stop talking!” He covered her mouth with his hand.

Bom smiled at how cute the two interacted. They were so much a like; they could be brothers and sisters.

“Okay, I’ll stop embarrassing you.” Minji said with a sneaky smile.

“You’re not embarrassing me, it’s just that I hate nonsense talk.” He came to a realization that Minji was not sweet at all! Her and Bom together was not a good idea.

“Minji, do you sing?” Bom asked, for the sake of both her and Jiyong, she had to change the subject.

“Uh huh! But I dance a lot better! That’s why YG took me into his wings.”

“Really? Can I see you dance?”

Jiyong was relieved for the change of subject, once Minji gets on the topic of dance; she forgets about anything else.

After Minji showed her a powerful dance no other eleven year old can do, Bom suggested a game of Hide and Seek. She was feeling herself relaxing and having fun. She hadn’t had this much fun in a long time. Slowly, the sunset and all three of them sat on the grass exhausted from all the games.

“Bom unnie, can we do this again? I like playing with you!”

“Sure, no problem. I like playing with you too.” She smoothed Minji’s hair down.

“You can play with us too, okay Jiyong oppa!” Minji added, nudging Jiyong’s leg with her foot.

“I’ll keep that in mind.” He smiled at her. “Minji-ah, I have to get you home.”

Minji nodded, not wanting to leave just yet. She had a lot of fun that day! She stood, but gave Bom a hug first.

“Bye bye.” Bom hugged her back. The little girl walked away, pouting to Jiyong’s car.

“Do you need a ride?” Jiyong finally asked.

Bom turned to him, she did. Because Seunghyun left her, she has not forgotten. But, was it okay to accept a ride from him?

“Or is someone else picking you up?” he asked, “Or do you have your own car?”

“No and no. My good friend Seunghyun abandoned me here. I don’t have a license for Korea.”

“So, why not let me give you a ride?” He smiled at her.

She stared at him, feeling really nervous. “Okay.” She softly answered him.

He stood up, cleaned off his pants and then held out his hand to her. She accepted his offer, hesitantly placing her hand in his.

“No no no no, don’t phunk with my heart!” Minji sang loudly while she danced in the back seat. “No no no no, don’t phunk with my heart!” She was totally oblivious that Bom and Jiyong sat in the front seats being rather quiet. She didn’t mind though, she danced around in the back.

“Minji, put your seatbelt on.”

“I wonder if I take you home, would you still be in love with me baby.” She poked Bom’s cheek with her index finger. Bom turned to her and laughed, she watched as Minji made up her own moves sitting down.

“Okay, we arrived dancing queen.” Jiyong lowered the radio.

“Awe, okay. Bye Bom unnie. We’ll play again, you promised!”

“Yeah, promise.” Bom waved goodbye to her.

“Bye Jiyong oppa, let me know how it goes.” She winked at him.

“Go!” He shooed her away.

She giggled as she ran out to her door.

Bom looked down at her hands, smiling. Minji is really cute; she was really grateful for her today. She eased Bom’s tensions about that day. But now, she was gone.

“Where to, princess?” Jiyong said, looking at her.

Her eyes widened, she couldn’t say anything.

“Oh right. You hate that stuff, right?” Jiyong smiled as he pulled out of the driveway.

“…No.” She was barley audible, but he heard her.

“Okay.”

“You can just drop me off at the studio. I have to give Seunghyun something.”

“Whatever you say.”

“That’s right.” She replied. She laughed as she saw his wide eyes.

“What’s this? Are you accepting your role as the princess?” He laughed too.

She looked out the window, her nerves were finally fading. Was she getting comfortable with him? She must be, because now she wasn’t scared to be herself as much. That’s how it was the whole ride. They joked around with the idea of Bom as the princess and Jiyong being her cab driver. She even slapped him on the arm a couple of times.

“You’re not that shy!” Jiyong claimed as he neared the studio.

“Nope. Did I fool you? I’m really bossy and really mean!” She laughed wickedly.

“No you’re not. You’re shy but sweet. But kinda strange.”

She slapped his arm again, “I’m not strange.”

Jiyong laughed, he looked at her and saw her pouting in a really cute way. “It’s not a bad thing.” He assured her.

“There’s Seunghyun!” She pointed out. Jiyong slowed to a stop in front of the studio. She opened the door and ran to him. Jiyong watched as she ran, smiling gently to himself.

Seunghyun had his arms out, waiting for a thank you hug; but received a slap on the forehead. Jiyong chuckled as he saw that.
“What was that for?”

“You’re such a jerk, ya know!”

“Jerk! You had fun didn’t you?”

“I did actually.”

“Well then?”

“You’re still a jerk! Leaving me there like that!”

“It was for your own good!”

“So is this!”

She hit him again over the head.

Jiyong laughed harder this time. She really was strange, but that was definitely not a bad thing.

Look into my eyes…whisper to me with those sweet lips.

Jiyong said softly as he drove away from the studio.
