TORONTO (PS) - While at a campaign stop in Toronto, Conservative leader Stephen Harper approached 3-year-old Sarah Wiles and introduced himself, providing a perfect photo opportunity. Harper chatted with Sarah and learned about her life such as what TV shows she enjoyed watching and the funny antics of her new puppy, Spot. Things were going smoothly until Harper asked Sarah what kind of toys she liked. She responded that she enjoyed playing with her Barbie dolls. When Harper asked her what she did with her Barbie dolls, Sarah responded, "I like to make them kiss each other". Harper the replied, "That is not right. Barbies do not kiss other Barbies. Barbies kiss Ken dolls. If you make your Barbies kiss each other, your puppy Spot will die."
Sarah burst into tears while Harper tried to comfort her first with candy, then with promises of cutting the GST. Neither tactic appeared to be effective. When asked about the incident, Harper responded, "I'm just trying to protect Canadian identity. Barbies making out with other Barbies? That's just so... European." When little Sarah Wiles was asked how she felt, she said that she planned on having a giant Barbie orgy as an act of civil disobedience.
