First day in AZ!

Aug 21, 2004 21:16

Today was fun, this morning was not.

We drove to the airport at like 4:30 in the morning (Chris: Hey mom, a little tired, are we? Mom: I don't do 4:30 AM very well.) We got to the airport, and my mom parked perfectly, right next to our check in. What a relief, she said. Could she have said a bigger lie? Yeah...don't think so. We were greeted by this indian-ish girl named Nimo, who had some trouble speaking english and working the computers at the check in. She was like..."How old you," And my mom was like..."He's 14," and she was like.."Then he's a minor."

Yeah, that one was already a given. "Yeah. I know." said my mom. "This means he must have birth certified to pass." "Birth certificate?" "...Yes." You should've seen the look on my mom's face. "What? You're telling me he needs his BIRTH CERTIFICATE to go on a plane because he's 14? ????" "Yes. He is minor." "Um, my daughter just finished flying back from Maine yesterday, and she had not...birth certified. She is like..13." "I don't know how she did." "Chris's friend also just did it. I know for a fact i don't need any f..birth certificate to fly. And i don't have one. WE live in Olympia. What do you suggest we do?" "Well, You will need to fill out this form, with who veel be picking him up at pheonix, and you infomation also. Then he will need to be followed on flight. There will be a forty dollar charge for one way." "Fourty dollars? For one way?" "Yes. One way." "WELL HE NEEDS TO COME BACK , TOO!" "Another charge."

Well, after trying to get ahold of Kiely's mom to get her address for her information form thing, I finally boarded the flights 3 minutes before take-off. It was my worst flight experience, ever. The flight was wonderful, I wasn't scared at all, it was something completely new to me: being able to sit back and relax on an AIRPLANE! I don't know what came over me, but whatever it was, I hope it doesn't go away for my next flight.

When I got to the airport, I had to be escorted around to wait for Kiely to pick me up. They couldn't get thorugh security, so I watied for like 25 minutes, and I was like, OK IM SO FUCKING TIRED OF THIS SHIT, so I just....ran away from the guy. That's right. Ran away. I went out to the gate and waited there for them. I even had them paged. They showed up 20-3- minutes later, and we fled the scene. It turns out the security guy had called them and told them how i "had gone missing." They called again when we were almost home, and adivsed us that this would go on "my permanent record." Ooh! OMG, I can't believe that the only thing on my permenent record so far is: "Got bored of waiting with retarted escort, so he ran away to fin dhis party more efficiently and comfortably than the frieaking escort could've dreamed to."

Today was fun. Elle came over, and I finally met her. We walked all around, and I climbed the world's 3rd largest sun dial! Haha. No, you're not supposed to climb it, but I'm such a rebel i just HAD TO. I posted some pictures...behind the cut.

Pic of me...wow.

...What to say? Elle, Kiely, and the glasses she found on the side of the road. Sexxxy.
