The Dr. Tatiana's television documentary is hilarious, too! People dressing up as insects, having kinky sex and bursting into song? So my cup of tea!

I think I remember you mentioning you'd read the book, Zoe, but if you haven't I second the motion.

Most of my favorite books are probably a bit too bleak and bitter to suit your personal philosophy, but I've read a few good ones lately. PopCo by Scarlett Thomas has potentially fatal children's toys, spies and pirates. Haruki Murakami's Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World is bizarre and beautiful and brilliant and is a cross between cyberpunk detective fiction and philosophy. If you're looking for something lighter, Gyles Brandreth writes books about Oscar Wilde FIGHTING CRIME which are pretty fun and good holiday reading, or there're also Stephen Fry's novels, all of them fab. Also: Mark Steel's Vive La Revolution. One one the funniest things I've read in ages, and actually a really great look at history and philosophy.

I don't recall reading it, but I think someone mentioned it to me before but I forgot. Since it has two votes here though I think I shall definitely have to go look into it! It does sound like a fun title to read in public, hehehe.

I haven't read any of the others apart from Stephen Fry's stuff (He is amazing! I keep trying to get more people to read them but they don't seem willing when I try tell them what's going on in the books...) I'll look out for those titles in the shop, thankies very much for the recommendations!
Be Happy!

Yeah I read My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult a while back and thought it was great, might look into some of her others...

Hehehe, just looked up Dr Tatiana, it does look hilarious, thankyou for the recommendations! If I can find it in the book shop I think it'll make my shortlist.

Thankies! Hope you are well, be happy!
Zoe
