Biking, Camping, The Non-profit and Trackage....
So Saturday night, on a whim, I decided to go camping to decompress. I invited Ingrid to come along, and she obliged me. We almost missed the cut off time for registering. Even though we were 5 minutes after the closing time due to a freak traffic jam on 95, we managed to catch the ranger and begged and pleaded to let us still go. She was super nice and kept shop open 10-15 minutes later. It was my first time camping in Prince William National Forest. If I had known they had back country camping, I would have gone sooner.
It was fabulous, other than Poppycock (my nickname for Ingrid) not bringing blankets and me trying to be all hippie and not setting up the rainfly so we could look at the stars. We both woke up around 3 AM freezing our asses off. I cut open my emergency all purpose garbage bags for a makeshift blanket since I gave Poppycock my sleeping bag. Well I quickly realized we needed the rainfly so I sprung into action and covered our tent. We slept fine there after.
Today I biked to Soho Coffee and Tea and met with the fabulous Lisa. She does fund raising/grants for PBS so she gave me incredibly valuable advice on setting up the foundation. She is every bit as excited as I am. We also talked about Buddhism which is something I want explore further.
Finally I have a new track finished. My first ever successful remix! It has gotten rave reviews on the vegan freak forums, which makes me very, very happy.

PS, it might be down for a few hours tomorrow. The version I uploaded was 97 percent complete. The kick drum in one place is distorted and there were a few other very tiny things (mostly volumes being slightly too high or low) I fixed last night...so I well take it down, reconvert it for the sight, and then approve it. This takes 2-3 hours usually. So if it's not there, check back. If you want to download it for keeps...wait til tomorrow night to get the fixed version.
