my theory on CRUSHES

Dec 02, 2005 14:53

Crushes are like chocolate Easter bunnies.

They are all sparkly and shiny and wrapped in colorful foil. They look so...appealing! You just have to see what is under that foil, have to bite into it. The anticipation itself is tasty, yes, but you know that sinking your teeth in and feeling the perfect silky meltiness of the chocolate against your lips and tasting the rich, deep, cocoa darkness or the sweet, delicate milky goodness is going to send that mmmmm! through your whooole body. Maybe you peel the foil off slowly...maybe you tear it off, either way your adrenaline starts to riseas you imagine all the flavors that could fill your bunny. A buttery, velvety creme? A perfectly-sweet-when-taken-in small-bites marshmallow fluff? A solid luscious, sublime truffle? Oh, my...oh, yes!

Sometimes you find you have bitten into a hollow shell of chocolate-flavored wax. Sometimes the nutty, maple-pecan has an unpleasant syrupy aftertaste. Sometimes you take too much at once and experience a painful sugar-crash. Sometimes it is not-so-bad. Sometimes it is good! And sometimes (through luck or skill or ?) you find yourself simply enjoying one of the most delicious chocolate Easter bunnies you ever had the pleasure of de-foiling.
