Last night Barack Obama became the 44th President of The United States and I don't think there was a more explosive reaction (in a good way) than here in Seattle. This city went fucking nuts and it was one of the most extraordinary things I've seen or been a part of.
Bailey and I were walking down from Capitol Hill to attend The Stranger's Election Party at the Showbox when the news came. EVERYONE was yelling, hugging strangers, yelling from their cars, honking, those with cameras were taking pictures of eachother, yelling from their apartments, people gathered unexpectedly in the streets (reportedly, atleast a thousand per group). I don't know quite how to describe it except that it was absolutely electrifying. All of this lasted several hours throughout the city and it was amazing. You had to be there.
