three.

 it felt surreal, the three of us sitting at a table having desert together. 
to those who didnt know any better, might have thought we were in a threeway,
it felt like one anyway; with the feeding and the gentle nudging,
and the total oblivion to those around.

then comes the thrashing out, perhaps three years late. 
we took turns; while two was engaged, one would watch quietly and patiently.
separate as it was, we were yet strangely connected,
in our own twisted perverse way.

all those years we chose to remain silent, not willing to tear open those wounds,
afterall, denial is easier and doesnt hurt as much.
but last night we placed our already fragile hearts on the line,
and it was awfully liberating.
