Men's Olympic Hockey Predictions
I'm making unfounded predictions to a friend in email, and might as well repeat them here so y'all can call me to task when they fail to come true.
So, I think the gold medal game will feature the US and Sweden. USA has one of the easiest roads through this tournament. Sweden is very very good, as good as Canada or Russia, but has an easier road than either of those teams.
I'd like to pick a winter war between Finland and Russia for the bronze, but I think Canada (who, after all, invented the game) will get past Russia to be the only non-bye team to play for a medal.
I recognize that I'm relying heavily on the seedings and conventional wisdom, here. We'll see how it plays out.
