Boredom
It is almost a year since I wrote in this thing and at times I totally forget I have this. A lot has happened in my life since I wrote in this. After my last entry, I was planning a holiday to Canada to see my sister and to go to a friend's wedding, who I have known all my life.
On June 19th 2007 we found out that my dad had lung cancer, it was a major shock and I still can't believe it. I went to Canada but only stayed 2 weeks unlike the 4-6 weeks I was meant to. My sister and I returned back to Ireland because we wanted to be with dad and I am so glad that we did.
In July I became an aunt to Kaitlin Maria McGovern, she is a wee sweetie and the first niece I have and was the first grandchild on both sides. My brother decided to move back to Ireland in September after being in New York for almost 3 years, which he was glad he did as by the time he arrived home dad's condition worsened. We had Kaitlin christened in the house on the 23rd September and 3 days later dad was gone.Four months later I still can not believe that he is gone, there isn't a day that goes by that I don't miss him or think about him.
When I returned to work after dad died I got a lot of grief and hassle so I decided to leave, life is too short to put up with that shit. So here I am jobless at the moment, working about 20 hrs a week in the kitchen in a nursing home where my mom works. After being in a job 9 years I get treated very badly.
