When do people take their GRE's? Grad school should be an incredible longshot at this point since who knows if I'll even graduate undergrad, but everyone knows I like to worry about things well in advance. Also, I was looking at the posted senior lit projects that people did last semester (just titles, not the actual papers) and I'm already quite fearful. Actually..there were two that I found interesting - something about parasites in literature and then religious allegory in CS Lewis and Madeline L'engle. Although I'm sure the content is just as interesting, what I really found intruiging about these particular topics is that there definitely aren't any classes at AU where anyone would be reading The Chronicles of Narnia or A Wrinkle in Time. This would, terrifyingly enough, affirm the assumption that college really is worthless. The end.

I've resigned myself stricly to YA lit and graphic novels for the remainder of the summer (and to finishing up my Elizabeth bio, in stride)...and why not, they're good enough for college. (I may let some Jane Austen slip in too though, depending...I bought one of those ugly leatherbound-looking collections they have at Borders).

I should have taken stage combat classes this summer. That would have been awesome, and a lot more interesting than anything I've been doing really. Then again, it wouly merely be another thing added onto my long list of "Things I've done that will never lead anywhere."

literature, college
