That was the best road trip I have ever had! Oh my goodness, so much more fun than I expected!

Brightish and earlyish we left and had a delightfully uneventful first day. With the exception of my own incompetence at writing directions down and thinking for several desperate miles that we were lost. However - all was well in Lestie's delightful world and the Goddess gracefully condescended to teach Lestie how to read her own directions.

Then we found a very relaxing hotel room. It was in surprisingly nice condition for such a low rate! We had everything a good hotel could supply. Especially the cable and wireless were lovely. And a refrigeration device (yay!) to cool our melted supplies. It was at this place that we also discovered how nice lies can be!

Continuing on down the road we drove through fragrant, lovely Kansas. I was rather pleasantly surprised at the delicate scenery. It was not flat and brown (although a small detour later to be recounted revealed another side to this interesting state). Lestie experienced a great need to visit a rest area on 70 and see if it was as nice as the ones on 81 (of which our entire family is well acquainted). Due to my supreme curiosity, the Goddess humored me with a brief demonstration of the different types of fluids used to run Emperor Palpitine. It was quite fascinating! I never had realized what interesting colors they were! Lime green, reddish brown, rich dark brown, and slightly lighter shade of brown (similar to a light molasses). Delicious!

Continuing on our merry way - enjoying fresh breezes and warm sunshine, we also had the blessed opportunity to tour a small, quaint settlement. The people there were so pleasant and knowledgeable!

We wove our way through the smooth, purple mountain landscape of Colorado and the beautiful wilderness of Wyoming. We stopped briefly to visit with some wonderful friends, enjoy a delicious meal and finally get showers! And the beds were so soft and feathery! After our leisurely rest, we resumed our merry journey into UT. We even were treated to a fine, marbled restroom! We arrived nice and early with plenty of time to check in.

Thus ended our nice roadtrip. It was surprisingly interesting and memorable with such pleasant moments! Our trailer pulled beautifully exactly as it was designed to function. My worries of overloadedness were quite trivial and unfounded I am delighted to report. A merry day to you all, may you all enjoy such a wonderful road-trip yourselves! And if the occasion allows, I even know some delightful acquaintances you simply must make!
