Please don't, please don't make amends See me, see me slip again

Melissa Auf Der Maur - Followed The Waves

Feel me sneaking around again
Am i hanging around again?
Can't you see?
That my heart lies, my heart lies to you

I followed the waves to you,
I counted to see it through
But my heart lies to you
You’ll never have me true

Please don't, please don't make amends
See me, see me slip again

Break my heart the cards of fate, seal the deal

My heart lies, my heart lies to you
My heart lies, my heart lies

I followed the waves to you,
I counted to see it through
But my heart lies to you
You’ll never have me true

I followed the waves to you,
I counted to see it through
But my heart lies to you
I'll never stay with you

Between my fire sighs and my burning eyes
My heart burns wildly in his eyes
He's just a drunken, gambling man
Dealing with the hand of desire's thing

Between my fire sighs and my burning eyes
My heart burns wildly in his eyes
He's just a drunken, gambling man
Dealing with the hand of desire's thing

I’m gonna shuffle his deck clean
I’m gonna shuffle his deck clean

Between my fire sighs and my burning eyes
My heart burns wildly in his eyes
He's just a drunken, gambling man
Dealing with the hands of desire's thing
I'm gonna shuffle his deck clean
I'm gonna shuffle his deck clean...

Out of bed at a a reasonable time, before nine and I got getting on with various bits about the house. In to Bletchley and picked up some hair stuff from Wilkinson. Also got a selection of seed kits. Over to Lidl and some more sausages were brought.

Once home having laughed my ass off at the dog for being afraid of the spinning chair I unpacked. I planted up the seeds for the various vegetables and herbs and then made lunch for Bob and I.

this is an asparagus omelette in a hot dog bun with Nuremberg sausages

Chilled for a little while letting food settle and listening to my Coil CD while reading. The Coil EP CD was one of the things I had brought in a mad fit on amazon. Grabbed a load of second hand CDs and books. Icluding the Nine Inch Nails suvivalism single, a graphics book called It Ate Billy On Christmas and a book I have been meaning to read called The Unbearable Lightness Of Being.

Then a dog walk round the lake as the flooding had subsided eneough for us to squelch our way along underneath the underpass to Caldecote. The flowers were beautiful everything had erupted in growth. The weather was bright and clear, warm with out being insufferable. The dog got plastered in mud and goo so when I got in his belly needed to be showered down.

Bob has made some coffee ready for my arrival home which I drank down pretty quick as it was delicious. I went through emails and things and caught up on Tumblr while listening to 6 in the front room while the dog dried off.

Then got on to making the evenings meal, I was getting it ready early as the meat needed to stand a while before being cooked as it had been frozen. The dish is baked veggies with meatballs. The meatballs are dead simple some beef mince, salt, pepper and garlic. The make them bind an egg some oats and a handful of flower. Chop up what ever veg you have and then chuck all in a baking tray. Potatoes are a must though. The rosemary sprigs were fresh cut from the garden and all but the garlic was organic vegetables from the River Nene box we have delivered.

I then proceeded to make audio recorded note of the ideas I had previously for Dan and his new film I am to sound track. Depressing piano then to a silly happy ironic backing track so far.

Food was consumed and after I played about with the track some more, it's only ideas so nothing set in stone yet as I don't have the final cut of film to work with yet.

Back to work not such a pain in the bum as one might think happy in my head and all days seem like they are mine when they are like this.

Arrived at work to melee of different things happening delivery tills being swapped and the news that two of us needed to be in Kettering tomorrow and Saturday. For some peculiar reason, living in Fenny Stratford makes it easier to get to Kettering than it does if you live in Northampton. So to make everyone's lives easier I volunteered to go. It's a little adventure isn't it, only to Kettering but it's different. It's not the familiar.

Also there were not such stressful things that happened at work I got my new combat boots, my new journal pad and my Melissa Auf De Maur album delivered. The boots are great need some foot beds though as my feet are too flat they need breaking in a bit as they look too tidy also. Cheese shop on lunch to grab some deliciousness a Shlossberg and a bomb and a salami section. The trip home was quick quiet I made a new friend called Ben.

Soon I was greeted by a dog who swiftly broke my head phones. Mum buzzed around making diner and shot off out leaving me to listen to my new album and read. I had a bath and packed my lunch ready for tomorrow lunch. Some 6 music and my Auf De Maur album, while in the bath I read back through some old journal entries and started the first page in my new personal pen and paper journal.

They look massive no?

Friday 2012.05.18

Up good and early to make a flask of coffee to sort me out for the day in Kettering. Nipped along the road to get on the Fenny Stratford train to Bedford. It connects there to Kettering and onwards. The train, the single carriage train, the one train that shuttles to and from from Bedford is a filthy little thing but quite quaint in its own special way. So what if there is cake splattered on the inside of my fold down table. It goes es along a nice little stretch of small villages that are so close to us and I have never explored.

Kettering was exactly as you would expect from any town center of a low income town. Grim, plenty of pound shops and "sloppy Joe" style cafes. The shopping centers/mall was one corridor but there was a nice refurbished area on the way up from the station. It had an archive of seats and steps with a fountain. It sits right near the church. Near by is the the library which are the only memories I have of Kettering previously. I stood here once freezing cold. It sucked.

I enjoyed my lunch here in this little seated arc with the fountain burbling away. My left over rice and pui lentils with some fresh vegetables and cured meat was grand, as I sat in the sunshine people watching. I did try and search out something nice to be had in the town but like all dead places they are too few and far between to discover with out local advice I feel.

Train home and was quick. I was home safe and sound in what seemed like no time. Crashed out and read all evening with my music on.

Saturday 2012.05.19

Off to Kettering again this morning, the earlier train twenty to seven. The Bletchley to Bedford was a different one this train is more shocking than the other. Rank seats that were falling apart and filthy, one of the light fixings was held on with tape. In comparison the Bedford to Nottingham train is really quite pleasant, nice seats and very clean. Even has one of those little food trolleys.

I tried to explore Kettering Town again to no avail, I found very few redeeming features apart from a quiet place with few people in it to eat my lunch. Did in my bordum find a cheap pair of hesh head phones to replace the old ones Toby broke.

Got home and finished my book and watched an episode of Game of Thrones with Bob and Mum. This episode was back to hard core fucking again and detracted from the plot, gratuitous and unnecessary. The main plot is great, quite enthralling with lies and betrayal quite intriguing. It's just for ratings like I said before.

John Dies @ the End, was a rattling good yarn. Bounced along very quickly, well paced, with lots of odd, funny and sickening descriptive scenes. It's like the League of Gentleman got hold of a copy of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, then smashed it in to a Dean Koontz novel at high speed capturing some of their dark and twisted sense of humor on the way. There is a film made of this book, just released early this year in January. It seems to have only been at a film festivals and not released to the cinemas. So I am going to hunt a copy down.

Sunday 2012.05.20

So I awoke with pestering hound and was up at half seven. Had some cheese on toast and some butter and honey on bread with a cup of tea while I put on 6 music. I found a free application that allows streaming DAB radio, it's much better than using the built in audio streaming thing on the Galaxy S Plus. It's called Tune In Radio, download it you android folks.

Started reading The Unbearable Lightness Of Being, no opinion formed as yet. Seems ok a little fluffy for my liking, we shall see.

I walked the dog while Bob slept and mother shopped for the week. We then all went out to Cosco which I have never been in before. I found some jely beans and dog food. We brought a whole range of things, I treated mum to some tulips.

We got a massive wedge of cave aged cheese too.

Then to the lock up to get Bobs work bench. To the house to relax have a spot of lunch. Got dinner ready and put it on to cook slowly. After that I was free to do what ever for the afternoon I had a cat nap. Just beofre that I founda mushroom growing in the garden.

I also had a look for some houses. Woke up to make dumplings something I've never done and then served dinner.

lamb and carrot stew with dumplings.

Another week-ish completed and I have done very little here apart from cook which is all I seem to do. It does not bother me because I love to do it. The week ahead is a knuckling down week of trying to find some where to get moved out to. Not that I am not welcome here I just feel i am getting under feet and i too am getting frustrated with being in such a confined space with no time for peace and quiet to myself. So seriously viewing places starts tomorrow.
