In Houston

Well, we tried to leave this morning at 4 am but were stuck in VERY heavy traffic. We were on the road for 9 hours and had went about 15 miles. People were starting to get crazy and getting out of their cars and stuff. Other people were running out of gas and just abandoning their cars and walking. There was NO gas anywhere and we were getting low too. We were really scared, it was 100 degrees and we didn't want to run the air conditioning. The cats were about dying in the backseat. Jasmine pooped and it smelled. I'm not kidding, our expressway was NOT moving and there was traffic for as far as you could see. So, we turned around and there was NO traffic going the other way and we got home quickly with plenty of gas. Phil stopped at a grocery store and got lots of food and water for us. So I guess we are going to try to wait it out. We should be ok because they did not tell our area to evacuate and I guess we usually don't flood because we are so far north. Well, I don't know how long we will have power but I will try to call someone whent he hurricane is over.
Pray for us
