Went runnin' last night when things started gettin' dark and quiet. It's pretty cold out still. Maybe a little beyond crisp. I gotta run at least five miles just so I don't freeze. It's kinda nice though, when your mind just clears and things get real simple. Real tidy. Like you could wrap it up and put some of that useless shiny wrappin' paper on

I have a bus pass, I guess I've just never really had a reason to leave before. Not at night anyway. Farthest I got was the start of the suburbs.

School gets out, we could see how many people we could pile in Hana's truck. Stars're so thick in the country at night it looks like the sky's on fire, and you can run for miles and never see a soul.
