I finally found the time to listen to Fiona Apple's leaked album (Extraordinary Machine). Fuck Sony for not releasing something they claim as "unmarketable". Aside from the title song itself, all other songs have the same Fiona sound I've been listening to since Tidal. Sony, the only reason you think Fiona's album is "unmarketable" is because

I actually like Talk! Hee. It's a pity you don't like it, but have you heard their new single? It's called Speed of Sound and it's just fabulous. I can send it to you if you like or you can hear it on their official site. It took me a little while to get into Talk, but I adored SoS straight away. The lyrics a re a lot better as well. If you're looking for some fab Coldplay lyrics from Parachutes or AROBTTH, I'd most definitely say Yellow (so much more than a song about a colour! So beautiful!) or the title track from AROBTTH. I quite like "I’m gonna buy a gun and start a war If you can tell me something worth fighting for" though I'm not sure why.

As for Interpol supporting Coldplay...

I can't quite believe it and am terrified of falling ill or something. If I actually survive and don't die from happiness, I'll be sure to post a ridiculously detailed report for you all. :)

Oh, and I don't know if you're aware that I've discovered Interpol fairly recently. I'm in love. They're so amazing, and there's something incredibly hot about their music. I'm a little scared to tell you this, but I think I like Paul the best. (Don't kill me! I know that he belongs to you, just as Carlos belongs to Nimmy. ;))

Well, the only reason I don't like Talk is because it sounds so much like Kraftwerk's "Computer Love". It's even more serious than "Under Pressure". I do like Speed of Sound. I think they made a wise move for picking that song as the single...as it's really the best one out of the few new tracks I heard.

Yes, I do envy you people over there. But I'm over it. What's the point when we're separated by the freakin' ocean. Have fun!!!!! I know you will. Hee. Isn't that cause it samples Computer Love? It's interesting that you say it sounds so much like it, I've read reviews saying that they took it and turned it into a completely different song! Hee. Unfortunately I haven't heard any Kraftwerk myself so can't comment.
