I was actually kinda excited for this year's Golden Globes. It's what happens when you've done your homework - so that I can choose the winners with certainty. Fuck the Hollywood Foreign Press. Yes, my opinions really matter. Damnit.

My version of the Golden Globes:

- CLINT EASTWOOD BABY! After all the ignorance with Mystic River, it's about damn time these people start to compensate. That is the one award that did no wrong tonight. The man ages like fine wine. Ok, I admit it, I got all teary too when he won. *sighs* He's so cool. This film was done in a classic manner, and Clint was a master as a storyteller. I've been so distracted by the new wave films that came out in the past few years that I forgot about the films that were the foundation for great storytelling done in its simple craft. Seeing Million Dollar Baby served as a great reminder for my neglect.

- Hilary won!! I remember seeing her in The Next Karate Kid a long time ago, and kinda had an instinct that she was going to be something big. I think Clint got a little teary when she won too. It's the sweetest thing ever. And I knew that she trained in Brooklyn...but didn't know it was at Gleason's. That was the place that gave birth to people like Mike Tyson.

- Really surprised that Natalie Portman won. I can't believe she beat Laura Linney and Virginia Madsen. Every time I see her, she's always the same character despite of the range of roles she has played. I don't think she can lose herself completely in any given character. That's not to say that she can't act, but her potential was not enough to beat the other contenders in the category. The ironic thing is, the one movie where she really impressed me was Leon...and that was her first film. It's almost like she stopped growing after that. Oh, her cousin reminded me soooo much of Sofia Coppola! Damn. Yeah, I know what she meant about wanting to grow up and be like her.

- I rooted for Morgan Freeman, but I can understand why Clive Owen won. Morgan rocks no matter what. He cracked me up when he started singing "Hit the Road Jack" when Jamie Foxx won.

- I had no idea Diane Sawyer was married to Mike Nichols. LOL Strange.

- Angelica Houston rocked like no other. She won! And I don't care that it's not Life Aquatic...she won! Yes, she's my hero. And yes, I'm so obvious.

- I'm not sure about Howard Shore winning for movie score. I'm not being bias, but I really liked the scores for MDB. It's one of those awards where people are being judged on their resume rather than the work itself. But it's all good.

- Mick Jagger. It was weird but cool. He can't do anything wrong really. But I preferred "Million Voices" from Hotel Rwanda.

- Eye Candies of the Night: Ewan McGreggor (!!!!), Johnny Depp, and Orlando Bloom. Bring on the superficiality any time!

- I'm happy that Jamie Foxx won. I was hoping he would at least get one out of the three, but for Ray the most. And yo, he got me all choked up at the end too.

I recently found this mix like no other. You've never heard Untitled like this before, I'm sure. This goes from being funny to cool. I'm sure Paul would get a good kick out of it if he heard.
