it's a gift...and a curse

So I finally saw it! I can't believe I've waited this long, but the film was only showing in three Indie/Foreign theatres, so I had to wait for the right night. Annnnyway, I think the person who stood out most was Colin Firth. Like Lost in Translation, Scarlett had very little dialogue again. Her performance was mostly based on gestures and behaviors, which were very expressive in translating her character's feelings. Colin was probably the second person who had the least dialogue, and in terms of expressing his character without words, I think his performance was better. I read somewhere that Scarlett didn't do much to prepare for the film (ie: hardly read the novel), while Colin knew all the dates of Vermeer's paintings. So I guess the amount of effort he put in really showed through his character. Scarlett was really good (better in Lit though), I just think Colin stood out better.

Did anyone get a chance to hear all the songs from The Bens?? The only songs I got my hands on were Just Pretend and Stop!, and it's good stuff! Ahh, I wish they would do an American tour soon. More specifically, during my school break, cause you have no idea how many shows I've missed since I've gone to college!! *sniffs* Radioheeeeeeeeeeeeead!

I can't wait for Lost in Translation DVD to come out!!! Must see the making of it!! Must! I wish it would come out in a pretty case...but I'm afraid it'll be the regular plastic one.

Ooh, just realized I'll be seeing my shows this month!
1) Brand spankin' new Alias baby! Finally, a new episode we've all been waiting for 10 years.
2) Celebrity Mole - hahaha You got me. Another reality show I watch. Just this and The Amazing Race. That's it. I loved the first Mole though. But the celeb ones amuse me.
3) Seaon premiere of Monk! Yaaaay! More weirdness.
4) New 24! Whoohoo! Jack Bauer, please.

Watched almost the entire Monk marathon on New Year's Day, and I love the show!! So yeah, must have icon for Monk :)
