Okay, you'll have to excuse me if I write an obnoxiously long comment :P
First I have to say, I'm so very glad you decided to continue this series...because I had no idea it existed until you started posting again and...it has pretty much shot straight up into my 'fav gaze fics' list. I'm probably just going to babble a lot & not really be able to express exactly *how* much I love this series, so just trust me when I say it really is unbelievably fantastic what you've created here.
Your characters have great depth - and this has got to be one of my favorite characterizations of Aoi ever (and he is my bb bias, so that's saying a lot :P). I'm not even sure exactly why...but something about the way you've layered his character traits & made him a bit of a harder egg for Kai to crack just make me adore him. And p.s. you kind of made me ridiculously happy by making Kai the third party, bc my gaze OTP of choice is Kai&Aoi...so I'm pretty much elated they're 2/3 of the relationship ;)
And speaking of Kai...you do a fabulous job of addressing his inner battles and concerns with the relationship and its complexities. Any time we get a bit of his inner monologue concerning the dynamic of their relationship, I always find myself really riveted and feeling really empathetic...when Kai gets hurt by the little gestures and comments he thinks indicate that he's not a full member of the relationship...gah, I die right along with him. So excellent job in helping your readers connect to your characters and story.
And man, I'm absolutely floored at what an excellent job you do of exploring the intricacies of their relationship...bc gah, I know...it's hard enough to write multiple characters in a scene and keep good flow, let alone actually have all of those characters in a relationship...and have multiple characters in pretty much every scene. You deserve a gold star ;)
And omg, their relationship is so unbelievably endearing. They're all trying so hard to make something loving, & beautiful...& something that will last, but it doesn't come without its complications and bumps in the road, and I adore that you've given us a taste of all of those elements. And I have to admit...I am *SO* excited that it looks like this part of the series will address Kai & Aoi's relationship in greater depth bc... :3 yeah, I'm a little biased...but also I just adore adore adore this Aoi & Kai.
Let's not forget the smut! You write fabulous smut, omg...seriously. I am *so* picky when it comes to smut. I cannot do overly mechanical smut that has no emotional component...it just does absolutely nothing for me. So the fact that you weave in emotional elements, memories, ties/links to what's currently going on in the relationship into your smut scenes just makes it for me. It's sexy & endearing & has depth - I love it!
This is a fantastic series & I want to say thank you *so* much for sharing it with us...it's such a treat, honestly! :3 You can be sure I'll be around from now on to leave irritatingly long comments ;)

I'm definitely grateful that you decided to pick this series up!! Every time I start to write on it, I become super engrossed. I always forget how enjoyable this series is to write on and how diverse I can get with the characters and scenes here. It gives me room to play! I absolutely love working with multiple characters at once. It's a bit of a challenge, but a fun one taha Polyamory is fascinating in itself and I always wonder how people in those types of relationships keep the machine working taha It must be incredibly hard and I'm sure it fails half of the time, but I aim to keep these three (and let's not forget those other two :D) going as long as possible! I'm a bit of a Kai personality as well so that's also a big factor in why I find this series so easy to go back to and keep expanding taha
Yes! I find Kai and Aoi's part of the relationship pretty interesting as well. Things are relatively easy with Uruha (unless he's being a bitch), but with Aoi...Kai has to work a bit harder and I think that makes things a little more exciting. Like, how the hell is Aoi going to fuck up this time? tahaha And how is Kai going to patch things up AGAIN? Things get complicated when Aoi is around. He's not a simple guy. I'm glad someone else likes the dynamics of this! You have to work hard to keep a good thing going ;D
I really have to thank you for the smut compliment taha Smut for me is always a challenge. I try to write simple sex sometimes and I always end up with a crazy soap opera type thing going on. Gotta have some emotions in there somewhere. Anyway, at this point in their relationship, nothing could possibly be mechanical. There's too much going on D:
