We played our stupid board games in f&n today. Since it was peer evaluated *God I hate that* our group was just like: 'we'll mark everyone reeeeeeeaal easy, b/c we have to get marked as well'. So we did so, even though the greater majority of them deserved to fail. We get our mark back, and I am way too ashamed to even say what it is. I'll leave you with the clue of it being b/n a 70 and 80. That my friends, is a FAIL. How the fuck, do you fail a BOARDGAME?!?!?! *Hangs head in shame*
I literally sat at my comp last night, writing out the instructions, and thinking *after every single sentence*: 'how can I make this sentence simpler?' After every paragraph, I thought: 'Is this idiot proof? What do I need to change?' After the whole thing, I read it over about 6 more times thinking: 'Can an 8 year old understand this?' Despite all that, our game was deemed 'to difficult.' I nearly died.
If I ever have to do this waste of an asmt again *I'd hope university is better then that* I'll make sure to stick little coloured squares of construction paper on a piece of bristle board. One end will say 'start', the other will say 'finish.' The challenge? You have to make it to the finishline. Apparently that is deemed worthier of a better mark.
Oh, and I've failed to mention it was worth 10% of our final mark. That's fucking great. I'm going to have to KILL this exam if I want any chance of beating Lucy *she has an 89, I have an 88*. Speaking of whom, some gut feeling *which usually doesn't fail me* tells me she's the one who brought our mark down. Maybe b/c Cyrena stiffed her and they didn't get to present their game today. Frankly that isn't my fault, and they should've known better then to leave half their project in her hands. But she will go down tmrw. No more of this 'oh let's be nice!' bullshit.
