Out of all the fandoms I'm a part of, I have to say CSIverse fans are by far the most conservative. And sometimes, the things that come out of their mouths absolutely terrify me. When a detective is purposefully belligerent, rude, and unhelpful to someone he thinks has been raped, that is not cool. That is not him being tough. That is him being belligerent, rude, unhelpful and REPULSIVE. That is wrong PERIOD.

Statistics show that tons sexual assaults are perpetrated by someone the victim knew. And, after being VIOLATED, not MANY people are going to be all for having strangers poke around their genitals. Naturally, when a victim refuses to speak out or be of any help, it is frustrating for the person investigating the case. But rather than be an insensitive JACKASS, you should be sympathetic and try to help the victim see that going through these humiliating procedures is a necessary evil.

That the victim has a questionable past is irrelevant. The detective wasn't being tough and cool; he was doing things that are strictly prohibited in his profession and a hop, skip, and a leap from "you were asking for it." Which makes my blood boil.

Know what else makes my blood boil? For my birthday, my parents bought me the complete series of the West Wing, and that's really awesome, right? Well, thanks to some shoddy design on Warner Bros. part, like half the discs are SCRATCHED. And skip and are all messed up. :-( :-( So hopefully my mom saved the receipt (she probably did, but you never know cause what were the chances of me returning it because I didn't like it?). At least then, I can get it exchanged, but still... it pisses me off.

I want to watch C.J. do the Jackal damn it! But alas, for tonight, I cannot see Shakespeare as it was meant to be performed. *sobs*

west wing, csi, stupid people
