Okay, so a lot of people know that tonight was the night I saw Stevie Nicks' documentary and stayed for 2 Q&As with her. There is so much to say, but I have some
help_lisa business to attend to first. So I'll just say that when she came into the second Q&A, she walked right past me; I was the first seat by the steps. So when she was walking down, she stopped at my level, turned to wave at everyone and smiled really widely while looking at me, and I was like IDK WHAT'S GOING ON WHAT IS MY LIFE. Then when she was leaving, she came up the same way. Even though they'd helped her down, NONE of the theatre people gave a fuck to help her. So as I was thanking her, I held out my hand. She had been shaking others hands, but I also held it out to be nice in case she needed help with the steps. Because even though I was totally a socially awkward penguin, I was raised with a vague sense of decency, and of course I would help if she needed it. So she said to me, "Know what? I'm going to do this, so I can do this." And she grabbed my hand and squeezed so hard her rings dug into me and used me to help herself up the first step (and then she grabbed onto the railing and went up the rest of the way by herself).
I know it's such a stereotypical fan thing to do to make a big deal out of it. But whatever. Some fans get really jaded about that kind of experience with her, because they've held her hand during the Edge walk a thousand times or some bullshit along those lines. But I'm definitely not one of those people. Never will be.
