So I've got that five words meme going on. Basically, comment with "Words!" and I give you five words that remind me of you and then you write a little bit about each word. This is what
__ashram gave me:
01. CJ Cregg
What's not to love about Claudia Jean?! Honestly, of all the female characters I've ever loved, CJ just might be at the top of the list. Certainly, I feel that she's the most well rounded one of all. She's sexy, smart, funny, strong, vulnerable, and just totally amazing. And of course, she was brought to life by the best actress of her generation - Allison Janney, who is also sexy, smart, funny, strong, vulnerable, and totally amazing, what with her covetous desire for the President's balls. :D I miss characters like this one on television; she was one of a kind, and frankly nothing else on television at the moment compares.
Sidenote: how much cooler was Emily Procter
here? You know, before she decided to become BFF with Botox?
02. Stevie Nicks
My favorite person in the world. I don't want to write too much about her, because I think I already articulated my <3 for her in
this post. But I do have three things that I would like to mention. 1). I love how her life is convoluted to the point that it's debatable whether something is true, a rumor, or a fan's overactive imagination. Like... if something appeared on the Internet where Hugh Laurie got caught in public having sex with Lisa Edelstein, you'd know for sure that it was fake in some way. LOL @ Stevie for keeping everyone guessing on that point.
2). American Idol's Megan Joy, whoever the fuck that is, is saying that Stevie wants her to play her in a movie. *rolls eyes* I'm really sick of blue-eyed girls saying Stevie Nicks wants to play her in a movie. The woman has BROWN EYES and ZERO freckles, Lindsay Lohan. It's just not going to work, even if you have contacts and thousands of pounds of make up. Lets just get someone who looks like her. Although I have to say, as someone who has a Stevie Nicks biopic that I'm itching to sell, I'm a little more than aware of Stevie's retiscence to make such a movie (adding extra doubt in my mind about the veracity of this rumor). But I still have a lot of hope for my own script. According to Stevie herself, the scripts she's seen almost all focus on the Rumours era. Mine does not, because that's lame. :-P
3). Speaking of Rumours though, there is this video from that tour where Stevie is soooo high that she's flirting/playing peekaboo with a stage hand and can't speak in sentences. And while doing that, this little girl runs up to her, and the little girl hands Stevie a ring that Stevie had dropped at the previous show. And Stevie is so happy to have it back that she gets down on her knees, takes off the black diamond shawl she's wearing and gives it to the little girl. It's one of my favorite moments ever. But after a talk with
tinpra , I had to concede the possibility that maybe it was the drugs fueling that. BUT NO MORE. After watching the PS22 chorus perform Landslide via youtube, Stevie invited those children to perform for her at Madison Square Garden.
After the performance, Stevie gives every single child a hug, yells at her security team when they start to usher the kids away before she's had a chance to hug them, and reminds them all that dreams can come true if you work hard and are determined to make them happen. Bonus happy: the fact that all of the kids in the video are talking about how she smells good and has soft hands. Fracas and Creme de la Mere, children; Stevie don't play with hygiene.
03. Politics
I am a liberal, a passionate liberal. I am very opinionated and openly so, and as a result, I'm deeply suspicious of those who claim to be uninterested in politics or who keep mum about their political beliefs. This should probably be obvious to anyone reading my journal. I love Hillary Clinton and Barbara Boxer. I like to fantasize about Clinton and Evan Bayh with Dairy Queen. I can't stand Barack Obama. I want to kick Howard Dean in the nuts. Again, all of this should be obvious by now. I like Sarah Palin, but I am heartbroken to have discovered this week that Heather Locklear is a Republican (cause it means that the dream I had when I was 8 - that Heather would marry me - will probably never come true. And yes, that's TOTALLY the only obstacle in my way, shut up!).
04. TV
I like it. :D But I really do hope that we get more scripted television shows, because I'm all reality-ed out.
05. House
I've said a lot about this show, so I'll keep it short by asking two questions: 1). Why the FUCK did RSL equate sarcasm with mental health and 2). why the FUCK did Lisa Edelstein think she should make her pets vegetarian??? I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT.
