Duckie's First Duck
The third non-annual Hatchling Fest betweenkeeper_of_starsand me is on. Basically, it's a two month competition or so to see who can write and post the most pieces of fiction. The first round I won with 12 ducks to Olly's 8 ducks. The second round also went to me with a barely earned victory, as the score was 10 to 9. At least I think. It's very hard to count the 
when they're all quacking and shaking their asses at me. In fact, I'm beginning to think I shouldn't have put the actual image of the duck, because now I want to just stare at the damn thing and not write anything else. *sigh*
So far, this round has been kind of pathetic. In the week since we started, we've each only earned one duck (well, Olly, has two, but she can't post the one yet, per contest rules, shhh). And while I'd really love to abandon Edge of Chaos to expand my brood more quickly, I know that I can't. I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that the next chapter won't be thirteen thousand words (RAWR) and that it can actually be finished in an appropriate amount of time. But I'm totally not holding my breath on that one, cause that's about as likely as ABC News using their brains and realizing that they sound like dumb asses for acting like President Obama has ended racism in America.
Especially when they use Robert Downey Jr.'s oscar nomination as proof. Or ex-Klan members who apologize, because they're afraid to go to hell. DDDDDD:
