For awhile now, Murphy had been feeling good. Very good. She didn't know why, but since last night the weight of responsibility had been lifted from her shoulders and she was free. Free to do all the things she'd normally tell herself she was too serious for, too responsible. Okay, so it had gotten her a day's suspension, but honestly that was no big deal. It wasn't like she'd lost her job or anything. And it led to one of the most interesting parts of her day.
Dr. Noah Spencer, attractive, fun, and a whole lot of trouble, was leading her inside his place. She glanced over things, noting stuff here and there, but mostly she was watching him. They'd played at flirting before. He was attractive, she was attractive, it was natural. Now, he'd bailed her out for the night and she was "his" for the evening. She wondered just what that entailed.
Whatever it was, it'd be fun. She really liked fun.
