So I may have forgot to mention...
I got pulled over in Lake Orion a few weeks ago.. I cant remember if I mentioned it in here or not. Anywho! It was this new(ish) seeming cop. A female one who OBVIOUSLY has something to prove. She wrote me a citation for defective equipment (an out headlight) and for going 10 mph over through town. Whoops! And when she hands it to me she proceeds to tell me all about how how I need to fix my headlight and get it signed off on by a cop and how it's not a ticket. She was very adamant about that. "I'm NOT writing you a ticket" she said "It's a Citation!" At the time I was relieved. Having never gotten cited or ticketed before.
However.
All that a citation means.. is that you have to pay a gay fine, but you get no points. So I got my headlight fixed and signed off on. $80. And then I sent my ticket in to the 52 3rd district court. It's been about a month and i was starting to wonder if it had gotten lost in the mail. Because that would, in fact, be just my luck.
My mom calls me this morning at like 8 o'fuckingclock to tell me that it came a few days ago and she forgot to call me.
Yes.. the piece of paper that gives me the date that i have to appear in court (because i'm fighting it to see if the bitchy cop shows) came in the mail... the one where if i dont show on that day they can cut up my pretty drivers license into tiny plastic shards.. I mean I guess I'm glad that she called me at all.. but how could you forget something so important. I've been expecting it. Oh well. I'm starting to wonder if everything is okay there.
