The last few paragraphs just about killed me. Up to this point I've liked your domestic/romantic take on Dean/Cas. I've never read your Dean/Cas fics before--and while it's not my cup of tea (because writers usually do the romance/domestic parts just too ooc for them)--I really like how their banter is not forced at all, or too much of a stretch of their personalities. It's soo them...with a new dynamic thrown in, but still them. even down to the way they are affectionate or show concern.

Then these last few paragraphs come along...

His other hand slid under Castiel's head, cradling it off the floor. It was gentle, and tender, and it hurt Castiel more than anything else, because that wasn't Dean. Dean was a good man, a great man, and there was very little in the worlds that Castiel wouldn't do for him. But Dean - Dean would never treat him like this. It wasn't cruel of him, or wrong, or bad - he just wouldn't. Dean Winchester was not a man prone to sweet, kind gestures, least of all ones directed at Castiel himself.

Poor Cas :(
