First off, for all those who read this journal to see what I'm knitting, you're going to be fairly disappointed today, as I can only tell you the following things. First off, I finished Rachel's first sock, and I haven't started the second one yet. I'm about half way done with the front of Craig's sweater, but since the weather turned hot again, I've put it on hold once more for cooler weather. However, I did decide to use up some of my extra yarn from knitting Amy's baby sweater, and I thought it would be cool to do cables. Here's the pattern:

It's looser than the picture, but I love the look...it looks a little more lacey. I'm quite satisfied with it so far, and don't intend to change a thing. =) Now, onto the non-knitting projects!
Here are the pictures of me building the compost pit for our backyard. It's not complete quite yet, I need to get some U-nails and some chicken wire to complete it. I'm going to line the inside of it with chicken wire to make it easier to gather up the compost later on when we need it, and if we have to move it too.

Over the last couple of days, I have been doing some much-needed weeding in the backyard (haven't started on the front yet). I was going around one of the gardens with a weeding tool, and struck rock. I thought it was just another rock, but as I pulled the weed up, a large piece of sod came away, revealing this:

It's perfectly round, and I thought it was cool, but I didn't dig around for anymore. I kept to my task of weeding, but minutes later, I struck rock again, and the same thing happened, revealing this:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v690/Marie-Therese/House/garden7.jpg I looked at the lines they created, and I think they were meant to lead to this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v690/Marie-Therese/House/garden8.jpg See how they seem to lead in a curving line towards the bench or back of the yard? I can't wait to reveal more of them, and then clean the stones off, and cut the sod away from the edges. I promise to post more when I'm done! I'm afraid the weeding has been moved to the back burner though! LOL
